Our Marine proposition covers a wide range of products designed to support the insurance of international trade, such as Cargo and Stock Throughput, Freight Liability, and Ports and Terminals. Each one of these, plus our team for Fine Art and Specie, has its own dedicated team of highly experienced senior underwriters who lead business in their Class.

We underwrite Lead and Follow, Primary and Excess, Direct and Reinsurance, all on a global basis (including USA).

Our lead proposition is backed up by an award-winning in-house Marine claims team, and we can offer loss prevention services through Aviva Risk Management Services, with our own dedicated Marine team.

Freight Liability – £10m

Fine Art & Specie – £100m (Fine Art only)

Ports & Terminals – £20m / $25m

Cover can include:

  • Marine Cargo – including Stock Throughput, and Project Cargo.
    • All Cargo types can be considered, except for Cars, Tobacco Products, or Arms and Ammunition.
  • Freight Liability – including Errors and Omissions and Warehouse Keepers' Liability under approved trading conditions.
  • Fine Art & Specie – comprising Fine Art (including museums, galleries, exhibitions, private collections, and auctioneers), General Specie (including precious metals), Jewellers’ Block, and Cash in Transit.
  • Ports & Terminals – both Property Damage and Casualty, or as a package of the two.
